The Lord called Janice Maria Griffin home Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Janice was born June 13, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio. She was the second child of Clara and Alvin Griffin. She confessed her life to Christ as her Savior as a young child. During her young years, Janice was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the Youth Choir and the Junior Usher Board. Janice was a 1973 graduate of Springfield South High School. While attending the University of Cincinnati, Janice pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. During this period she perfected her alter ego “CDUB”. Upon graduating from U.C., she worked for Ford Motor Company until retiring in 2008. Janice loved traveling. During her life on earth, Janice touched the heart and souls of many people she met.
She is survived by: her loving brothers, Gary (Shirley) of Chicago, IL and Melvin of Springfield, OH; nieces, Mignon (BO) Clay, Meshaun, Taylor and Brittyne; nephew, Marlon; greatnieces, Zaileyah and Zenobia; great nephews, Zavier and Damarion; and a host of cousins, faithful and loyal cousin, Lynn McMillian, Ford Family members, sorority sisters and friends.
