George Elliot Gaines

George Elliot Gaines Jr. was born on December 6, 1971, in Chicago, IL.  George was a Christian, and accepted Christ at an early age.

George attended Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL.  George always wanted to be an electrician. So, after high school, George became an electrician in training with the United States Navy.  After the Navy George majored in electrical engineering at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana.

George was currently working full time and training as an electrician at Mubea, while attending Kentucky Community and Technical College, completing what he started long ago, to be an electrician.  He would’ve graduated in May 2025 as a certified electrician.

But if you could ask George right now what his greatest accomplishment was and what he loved most, he would tell you it was being a father to his son Jonathan David Gaines.

George is preceded in death by his father George Elliot Gaines Sr, and step sister Takeishia Wines.  He leaves behind his beloved son Jonathan David Gaines, his mother Eldora Wines, step father Robert Wines, sister Esther Gaines, step brother Kevin Wines, best friend/brother Stacy Austin, fiancé Angie Okoye, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

George will be missed by all. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain.
