Geneva was born February 13, 1938 in Rogersville, Alabama. She was the oldest of two children of the late Floyd King and Fannie Eva Roberson.
Geneva moved to Cincinnati, Ohio along with family in 1958 where she worked towards her goals and achievements to make her mark in the world. She was a multitasker at best, being fully employed at Good Samaritan Hospital where she retired from and still continued her private duty work until she couldn’t anymore. Still finding time to help others, she always stepped in and took control, helping out in any way she could, always releasing the kids from their duties and sending them out to play, let-ting the kids be kids.
Geneva, continuing to be a sole provider and help to her family, got involved with North College Hill Senior Center to still find time to keep herself busy and active, enjoying time spent with other members and having game days, exercising and outside functions.
Geneva was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church where she attended with family mem-bers and friends. She was called home on March 28, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital and she will be greatly missed by family, friends and co-workers.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Louise Roberson; daughter, Bernice Roberson Mimes; granddaughter, Kuantina N. Roberson; (granddaughter-deceased, Tiffany D. McCoy); grandson, Willie James Mimes, Jr.; and the next generation, the great-grandchildren, Adrianna Nikkole Roberson, NaKeisha Geneva Roberson, Tonisha Maliyah Brown, Pershus Renea Mimes, Willie James Mimes III and Danyou’ll Robert Mimes; and a host of other family and friends.
