Frederick McCloud was born February 25, 1956 in Glenwood, Georgia to the late Annie Mae Parks McCloud and the late George W. McCloud, Jr. He was the eldest of four children born to this union.
He departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2025.
George and Annie along with Frederick, relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio when he was three years old. They resided in Walnut Hills for several years then moved to Madisonville. Three other children, Michael Sr., Jacqueline, and Shazzan, were born afterwards.
Fred, as he was commonly known to those that loved him, attended Lyons Junior High and Withrow High School. As a teenager his first job was delivering newspapers. He enjoyed being involved in a variety of activities while in school. He had classes that taught him skills in wood shop and auto mechanics. He played football and the trumpet. Fred truly enjoyed being a bowling champ and training and raving about his dog Prince that won first place medals and trophies.
Upon graduating from high school in 1974, he landed a career job at Cincinnati Milacron, where he became a crane operator. He attended truck driving school for a brief period of time and he also attended ITT Technical School for 3 years aiming to obtain a degree in Electronics.
Fred accepted Christ at an early age. He met and was united in Holy Matrimony to Margaret Young in 1983. This union was blessed with four children, Quency, Branden, Frederick, and Keith.
He was a dedicated member of El-Bethel Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board and also drove the church van. When the church van was experiencing some issues, he didnβt hesitate to drive his personal vehicle to pick up the elderly members to assure that they made it to church.
Fred was united for a second time to Binta Badji. She has been very supportive of the family.
His favorite past time included cooking Sunday dinners, spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, family, friends, CB Radios, fishing, camping, being a bowling champ, and fellowshipping with family in Cincinnati, Glenwood and Dubin, Georgia, and Detroit, Michigan.
