Pres. Elder Frank L. Wynn, Sr. was born May 3, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Mother Bessie Mae and Pres. Elder Joseph T. Wynn, Sr. He was the oldest of four children.
He was dedicated to his parents and loved them immensely. As a child, one evening him and Nana (Mtr. Bessie) were walking down the street when a woman stopped them to tell her, “You have a child who will one day grow up to be someone very special.”
He learned the importance of being a strong man from his Pop (Elder Joe). Elder Frank was a hard worker and kept a job, sometimes two. He began working at General Electric, because he could work as many overtime hours as he wanted he only needed this one job. He was employed at GE until he retired in 1992.
He was united in Holy matrimony on January 6, 1952 to Betty L. Ramsey (deceased) and celebrated 41 years of marriage. From this union they were blessed with 15 children: Dorothea Lawson, Deborah Worsham, Phyllis Whiteside, Frank, Jr., Beatrice Crumm, Marvin E., Kenneth, Thelma Bell, Stephen, Thomas, Huldah Bell, Miriam Green, Walter, John and Amon (deceased).Pres. Elder Frank became a member of The Supreme Council of The House of Jacob, Inc. on January 11, 1959. As a dedicated member he loved The Lord, the teachings and the Saints of God. He had the understanding of sharing his blessings. He paid his tithes and taught his children the importance of doing that. He gave with an open heart; when he butchered a cow for his family it was his way to share with his siblings, in-laws and church family. He was always willing to share or give, even a word of comfort, to someone in need. He was loved by many old and young alike.
Elder Frank loved being active he spent many hours with his children working on his farm and always had time for fun; playing games, racing, fishing , wrestling or just sitting outside at night telling ghost stories.
Pres. Elder Frank Wynn departed this life on April 1, 2020 at 2:15p.m. He leaves behind his 14 children, 2 sisters; Lavona Berry and Eunice Brown, 2 sisters-in-law: Bettye Ramsey and Jeannette Merritt, 47 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild and a host of family and friends.
He loved the gospel and at any time you would hear him singing:
I got Joy Joy over in Jacob and it’s mine, mine, mine .
He will be lovingly remembered by many.
