Ed Lockett entered this life on May 23, 1950 and blessed the union of the late Edward Lockett, Sr. & Arie Lee (Porter) Lockett in Logan, West Virginia. Ed grew up and was educated in the Cincinnati Catholic Schools graduating from Elder High School in 1969. Upon graduation from high school, Ed continued his education and received three (3) degrees from the University of Cincinnati obtaining his Master’s degree in City Planning. Ed pledged Beta Eta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was an active and devoted member and revered by many. Ed worked for Cincinnati Public Schools for 30 years as an Instructional Assistant and Coach. After leaving CPS, he worked for Envisions Ohio as a Caregiver and cared for one resident in particular, Tony K. for 15 years. Ed was the “ultimate” unsung hero who did so much to help other people.
Ed was united in marriage to Linda Hardeman-Lockett on November 25, 2006.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ed, Sr. and Arie Lee Lockett and a sister Mary Lockett.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Linda Hardeman-Lockett; step children; Daria Hardeman, Courtney Parker & Cameron Parker, God children; Ebony Madonna Smith and Michael Heard and a host of relatives and friends.
