Diane Campbell-Dixon was born on November 26, 1944 to the union of Allie C. Campbell and Andrena Campbell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Diane departed this earthly life on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hyde Park Nursing Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by Lewis Roosevelt Dixon.
She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at New Testament Baptist Church. She was educated at Cincinnati Public Schools. Her favorite hobbies were going to Bingo, hanging out with her sisters, shopping and spending lots of time with her children and grandchildren.
She devoted all her time to taking care of everybody and would give you her last. Extremely patient, nice, easy to talk to were the words from Anyae and Treemonisha, her granddaughters.
P.S. The grandkids say — she wouldn’t say “no” to the grandkids, but would say “no” to the daughters.
She loved to cook and dance, and her favorite song was Maxwell’s, “A Woman’s Worth”.
Diane leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Rosalind and Yolanda Campbell and a stepson, Oquendo Nixon; granddaughters, Treemonisha and Anyae; one great-grandson, Kingston “Stinky” or “Mr. King”; sisters, Malinda Early and Mary Miles; one cousin, Oscar Armstrong, Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Jeanette Campbell, Burnetta Hall, Delia Campbell and Carrie Bell Standfield; and one brother, Willie Campbell.
