Carolyn Ruth Hawkins was born February 22, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Cecil MargaRee Hawkins. Carolyn was the oldest of four children.
She was a graduate of Princeton High School. She attended General Hospital to become a Nurse. She was a nurse for many years. She left that to work at Calvary Christian Academy as a Pre-School Teacher and to run the Extended Care.
Her priority though was her love for her family. Whether she was called Mom, Gma (Grandma), Sissy, or Auntie; she loved each and every one of her family dearly. All of her friends were considered family. She could not walk into the grocery store without making a Facebook friend. Carolyn had a love for baking. Sweet potato pies and cobblers were some of her specialties. Many did not know that she had a lead foot. She would fly in her Delta ‘88. The only thing that surpassed her family was her love of God. She was a prayer warrior and an anchor. She loved her choir and her church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Angela (Russell) Wilson; grandchildren, Michael Graves Jr., Gabrielle Graves and her son Dakotah, Morgan Graves, Taylor Chapman, RJ Wilson, Taya Wilson, and Jordyn Wilson; two sisters, Faith Crawford and Kathy Fears; niece and nephew, Ashley (Brandon) Green and Lucas Konnagan; and great nieces and nephews.
