Carnell Mathews, age 75, passed away December 16, 2020 in Cincinnati, OH. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford Mathews, Sr.; her loving children, Kelly (Matthew) Edwards, Kimberly McClendon, George (Bernice) Fluellen, Joel (Shona)Treadwell, Clifford Mathews, Jr., Marlon and Leland Mathews; her step-mother, Luerine McClendon; her siblings, Edward McClendon (Cinti), Eloise Campbell (Cinti), William H. McClendon, Jr. (Orlando), Larry McClendon (Columbus, OH), Willie McClendon (Eastman, GA), Patricia Holland (Cinti), Gail Ransom (Cinti), Renee Jackson (Cinti), Travis McClendon (Eastman, GA), Dale Holland (Cinti), Bruce Wright (Cinti), Yvette Holland (Cinti), Donald McClendon (Atlanta, GA) and Derrick Holland (Cinti); 25 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, December 28, 2020 at The City of Promise Church, 1260 Hicks Blvd., Fairfield. Visitation will be 10am-11am at the church. Interment follows in Landmark Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Thompson, Hall and Jordan Funeral Home. Please view and sign her registry at www.thompsonhalljordan.com.
