Brenda Joyce Taylor was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 8, 1952 to the late Albert and Ruby Taylor.
Brenda attended Cincinnati Public School — Hayes, Cutter and graduated from Hughes High School in 1970. Brenda was full of energy, running track, majorette and a member of GAA.
Brenda accepted Christ at a young age. As a young lady, she became committed to learning the Word of God and the power of faith, always believing God’s word, witnessing to everyone who would listen to her, inviting them to church. She would even pick them up.
Brenda was special. She always enjoyed working with seniors at Golden Age Nursing Home, enjoying listening to their life stories. Her last job was at Trihealth as a Recreational Therapist. In fact, she planned and gave a wed- ding for one of her clients’ 50th Anniversary. She never took credit for it. She would say, “To God be the Glory” for her decorating ability.
Brenda was known for her cooking, her yard that was so immaculate and well groomed and Christmas decorations. Her mac and cheese was out of this world. You were always invited to eat at her house. She lived a full and exciting life with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Taylor, Jr. and Robert Chatman; and her stepsister, Janey Fultz.
Brenda leaves to cherish fond memories: her loving son, Tau’rean Taylor; sisters, Tosha Taylor and June (Robert) Carter; brothers, Joel Chatman and Curtis Hampton; a loving step- mother, Lillie Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, loving cousins and many, many friends.
Brenda will truly be missed. There will only be one Brenda Taylor. We love you.
