Anthony Brooks was born on November 9th, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ruth Brooks and Roosevelt Edwards. “Tony” as he was known, was a standout baseball player who graduated from Taft High School in 1970. After briefly chasing aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player, Tony settled into life and worked with distinction for several companies in the Cincinnati area. While doing work to complete the Cincinnati Convention Center, he met Nahketha Elliott whom he would marry on April 26th, 1986. Their union would give them a daughter, Tanisa.
Tony was called home on January 19th, 2026 after a battle with cancer. He was helped during this difficult process by his dear friend, Nancy Bridges. He was preceeded in death by his mother, father, and son(Antonio). He leaves behind his brothers, daughter, step-son, and grandchildren. He was known as a good cook and baker, particularly being fond of making pineapple upside down cake, and a huge sports fan with affinity for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was also known for his humor and occasional pranks. He will be missed dearly by friends and family alike.
