Anne Ruth Belser was born on February 26, 1928, in Montgomery, Alabama to the union of Angeline Katherine Dawson and Leonard Bernard Posey. Anne graduated from St. John’s Catholic School at age 16.
She went on to pursue Nursing Training at Alabama State University. In her early adult life, her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and she obtained employment with Good Samaritan Hospital.
Several years later, Anne made the decision to be a stay at home mom and focus on raising her children. Over the years, she was employed at The Assumption Catholic Church Rectory and Andrews Airforce Base. She is most fondly remembered by her family and friends as a woman of faith, a nurturing homemaker to her 14 children, awesome cook, and a beloved and devoted friend.
Anne joined Uptown Revival Center, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. There began her jour-ney of faith and prayer. After relocating, Anne became a faithful member of New Life Outreach Church where her dedication and commitment was acknowledged and she became a Mother of the Church.
She faithfully attended church services, functions, weekly Bible studies, and weekly Noon Day Prayer. At the last season of her life, she became a member of Abundance of Living Water Apostolic Church under the tutelage of Elder Valerie DeArmond. Anne was a soldier of the Lord and could be found in her bedroom recliner at 5am everyday interceding in prayer for family and friends alike. Those who knew Anne, knew her by the spirit of her heart; a spirit of love and giving. She was also known for her love of “Jazzy Fashions” and dress matching from head to toe.
