Joan was a woman of God who touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was respected and loved by everyone who knew her.
Joan Graham was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 8, 1935, to Thelma Brazile and Ben Abbott. She was one of two children. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was united in holy matrimony to Claude Graham, Jr. on February 2, 1957. She was comforted by an angel of mercy on January 25, 2014.
Joan worked for the Cincinnati Board of Education and long time employee of the City of Cincinnati until reaching retirement in 1996. She was also a dedicated member of Olivet Baptist Church for 29 years. She served as a member on the Usher Board and Missionary Board, actively serving with the Prison Ministry. She was also involved with the election board and presided as a precinct Judge for many years.
Her life should be modeled for people to follow, as a hard worker, devoted Christian, mother and wife.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Bennette Jones; husband, Claude Graham (who preceded her death); sons, Anthony and Demetrius; daughters, Thelma and Claudette; daughters-in-law, Eva Abbott and Marian Graham; grandchil-dren, Clarissa, Nicole, Latasha, Kendall, Kerric, Quinsanna, Denise, Demetrius Aaron and Cheyanne; 10 great-grand-children and 1 on the way; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved and cared for her like she was family.
