Colleen Joy Corcoran was born March 20, 1967 to Regina and James Corcoran, Sr., both of whom preceded her in death.
Colleen attended Diamond Oaks and Hughes High School from where she graduated. She worked in numerous areas such as UPS for several years and then later for Duke Energy, where she was employed until her passing.
On Christmas day, December 25, 2013, Colleen drifted away to her heavenly home, quiet and peacefully to suffer no more.
Colleen will be missed without measure. Her sweet and giving heart and her warm smile, along with her joking around will never be forgotten. To know her was to love her.
Colleen leaves to treasure her always: her loving daughter, Chanel Corcoran and her pride and joy, her grandson, Chance Corcoran; two devoted sisters, Clarice Corcoran-Wehmeier and Cathy Corcoran; one loving brother, James Corcoran, Jr.; (her oldest sister, Carol Barnes preceded her in death in 2008); brother-in-law, Kenneth Wehmeier and sister-in-law, Patricia Corcoran; nephews, Gregory Barnes, Jr., Brandon and Lewis Corcoran; nieces, Cara Boyd, Maria Barnes, Melanie and Julian Corcoran; seven great nieces and three great nephews; cousin, Ronald Jackson; a long time best friend, Al Magette and goddaughter, Cassandra Posey; and a host of other rela-tives and friends.
