Ruth G. Kinney

Ruth G. Kinney, age 59, passed away on January 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 10, 1966, in Houma, Louisiana, to Carl Evans and Hazel Smith.

Ruth spent much of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she built a legacy of hard work, resilience, and deep devotion to her family. Known for her unwavering dedication—both professionally and personally—Ruth touched the lives of many through her compassion, strength, and generous spirit.

Ruth is survived by her loving mother, Hazel Smith Guidry, her father, Carl Evans, and her children: Kendell Kinney, Krystle Evans Logan, and Jeremy Evans. She also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

She is preceded in death by her two beloved sons, Jordan Evans and Jaylen Kinney, as well as her former husband, Jeffery Kinney.

Throughout her life, Ruth found joy and purpose in the interests and passions that shaped her journey. These pursuits brought meaning to her days and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her during the many seasons of her life.

Ruth will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the steadfast love she showed to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she raised, the values she instilled, and the countless lives she touched with kindness.
