Daryl Linn Rhodes affectionately know as “Dusty”, was born on December 24, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the first born of four children that blessed the union of Dr. Richard S. Rhodes and Connie Rhodes Fuller. He accepted God as his Lord and Savior at a young age being baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church and again in 2015 at Crossroads Oakley. Dusty passed in the loving arms of his sister Renata Rhodes Lewis on April 21, 2023. He attended Madisonville and Schroder Elementary and graduated from Woodward High School. Dusty proceeded to serve his country enlisting in the United State Army and ended his service with an Honorable Discharge.
After returning home from the Service, he worked for Wiedemann Brewery in Newport, KY. He then began his career working for the United States Postal Service from which he retired in 2013.
Dusty loved people, nature, and fast cars. His favorite cars were Corvettes and Porsche. He was a lover of animals and had pets such as tarantulas, a snake, exotic fish, Akitas and Afghans. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, movie watching and traveling. One could also find him any given Sunday enjoying his home football team, the Bengals. Above all of this, Dusty leaves a legacy of extraordinary 4th of July celebrations that showcased a large than life fireworks display.
He lived his life in a grandiose style while sharing with others. He would do anything he could for everyone that he encountered. He genuinely made everyone’s life enjoyable by just caring about people, family and loved ones, especially his grandchildren and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Lane, his loving step-mother, Dawn S. Rhodes and his son Jerris Williams who is survived by his wife Stephanie.
