Louis Watt Farmer came into this world on April 15, 1930, from the union of his parents, Mary Jordan and Plummer Farmer, in Eutaw, Alabama.
He came to the Cincinnati area in the late 1940’s, to join up with his cousin, Amos Allen and Elliot Ross, his life long friend. It is here he met his wife, Bernice Reid. Trained in the field of Culinary Arts, he worked in numerous restaurants until he opened and ran his own restaurant for 23 years.
He was called home on January 20, 2013 peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice and son, Glenn. Left to carry on his memory are: sisters, Plemia Arnold (Edgar) and Yvonne Smith; his children, Lewis Farmer (Queenie), Sammy Thomas (Mary), Winston Reid, Alfonso Farmer, Marian Berkeley (Fred) and Jennifer Dangerfield; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
