Fifty three years ago today this world was blessed when Carolyn Louise Jones gave birth to her only child, Terence Kent Jones on May 18, 1963. Although Carolyn and Terence had only thirteen years together before her untimely death in 1977; they shared a loving relationship.
A Better script could not have been written when Terence, after a two day stay at the Hospice of Butler Warren, departed this life on Mother’s Day May 8, 2016 to join Carolyn in God’s loving arms.
After Carolyn’s death Terence was raised by his mother/aunt Doretha Jones and after Doretha’s death Terence was with his legal guardian brother/cousin Timothy Jones.
Terence attended Middletown and Hamilton City Schools. While in Hamilton Terence was a member of The Renowned Hamilton Flip Twisters Tumbling Team.
Terence moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1991 and resided there until his health failed him. In February 2016 he returned to Middletown under the care of Timothy, Dawanna, and Doria Jones. Although his illness was terminal, Terence diligently fought to the end.
Terence was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Louise Jones, his maternal grandparents: Leonard Sr, and Mary Eliza Jones; mother/aunt: Doretha Jones; brother/cousin: Titus Jones; uncles: Theopolis (Buddy Boy) and Leonard Jr. Jones; aunts: Odell Marvin and Edith Guy; cousins: Billy and Todd Marvin.
Terence leaves to cherish his memories his six year old daughter whom he named after his mother, Carolyn Marnaisa Jones, brother/cousin Timothy (Dawanna) Jones, nieces: Rachel (John) Perry of Port Arthur, Texas, Doria Jones, nephew Timothy “Tee Jay” Jones Jr., cousins: Vanessa Guy of Fairfield, Ohio; Connie Guy, Marcus Guy III, Shelley (Greg) Mars of Cleveland, Ohio, Rodney (Tamara) Hendrix of Columbus, Ohio, Aunt Marguerite Hendrix of Cleveland, Ohio, uncles Elgin Jones and Carl (Leah) Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio and many loving family and friends.
