Kimberly Cornett was born on September 18, 1964 to Gussie Dinkins and Leroy Dinkins Sr.
Kimberly was called home to see the good Lord on August 1, 2020.
Kimberly was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Kimberly accepted Christ at an early age. She loved to read her bible and listen to gospel music; she loved her some Marvin Sapp. Kimberly graduated from Taft high school, soon after that she worked as a home health aid for 23+ years then she retired. Kimberly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, dancing and singing. She also loved going to the boat aka the casino.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents Gussie Dinkins and Leroy Dinkins Sr.; two brothers, Leroy Dinkins Jr. and Mike Burton; one sister, Willie Parks; and husband, Jake Bennett.
Kimberly leaves behind to celebrate; her daughter, Jasmine Cornett; son, Andre Cornett; six grandchildren, Blessing Cornett, Keith McClendon Jr., Forever Kim Cornett, Andre Cornett Jr., Hazel Cornett and Alonzo Greene; three sisters, Monti Cornett, Shannon Cornett and Kelly Pope; three brothers, Mark Dinkins, ‘washer machine’ Mark Powers/Pow and David T. Wilson ’Daveno’; two nieces, Jeannette Parks and Jessica Parks; four great nephews, Ronnell Parks, Lamont Parks, Emmanuel Parks and Darrius Parks; one great niece, Janiyah Parks; two best friends, Janice Williams and Geneva Holloman; and a host of god children, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
