Willie Napoleon (Nap) Clements, Jr. was born on April 3, 1937 to Willie Sr. and Wilma Clements (Gregory) in Middletown, Ohio.
He was the first African American to graduate from Fenwick High School in 1955, where he was Vice Presi-dent of his senior class. On May 5, 1956, he married the former Ruby Carlene Trotter in Middletown. Willie loved to fix things and ended his 50+ years as a Maintenance Manager for Precision Packaging. He was a sports enthu-siast personally playing multiple sports including football, baseball, track and basketball when he wasn’t watching his children or grandchildren excel in athletics. He parlayed his love for cooking into a successful family catering busi-ness. An avid reader, you could often find him perusing the local paper while sitting on the porch. Nap was always there to help friends with projects or whatever else they needed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Enrico; and three brothers, Anthony, Michael and Charles Clements.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 59 years, Ruby Clements (Trotter); three sons, Curtis, Larry (Vinita) and Kenny Clements; two daughters, Felicia McDowell (Vernilious) and Cecilia M. Clements; three brothers, Harvey, Joseph and Darryl Clements; three sisters, Wanda Clements, Wilma L. Whorton (Danny) and Sylvia Rudolph (James); five grandchildren, Antwaun Rogers, Ravelle Clements, Christian Clements, Vernicia McDowell and Jurnae McDowell; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
