Willie Mae Sanders Rudolph, the 4th child of the late Rev Isaiah and late
Magnolia Sanders was born on Dec. 25, 1925 in Hope Hull, Alabama. She grew
up on a farm, in a loving Christian home where love abided Christian
principles were practiced.
Willie confessed to Christ at 11 years old and united with the Mt. Sinai
Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend Bell Whiting,
Pastor.
willie’s early education was in lowndes county Public school systeM.
Because schools were so far away from her home, she lived with her Aunt
Hattie and Uncle Hugh so she could be company for their daughter Saylor
during high school. Since books were not available she read the daily
newspaper and comics over and over again. She graduated with honors from
Loveless High school, Montgomery, Alabama in 1945.
While attending Alabama State University in Montgomery Alabama, Willie
met the love of her life, Charlie C. Rudolph. Charlie was attending Tuskegee
Institute when they met. Charlie also attended Snow Hill Institute in Snow
Hill Alabama. They married in 1947. From this union, 7 children were born.
The oldest son, Calvin, preceded her in death.
To pursue new opportunities, the family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1951. She
joined Pilgrim Baptist Church, Cincinnati where she sang in the choir, was a
member of the Missionary Society, and president of the Deaconess board.
In 1964, the lord called her husband Charlie home. She thought her world
had coMe to an end, but had Faith and accePted God’s will.
In 1971, Willie united with the First Baptist Church of Kennedy Heights, under
the leadership of the late Reverend Earl S. Wagner. She sang in the senior
choir, served as assistant Superintendent of Sunday school and president of
Missionary Society.
After 27 years, Willie retired from the Council of Christian Communions
teaching Cincinnati Public School 3rd to 6th graders Christian values. Other
activities included president of the Twilight Crusades Federated Club, and
member of the Ken-Sil Garden Club.

Willie leaves to cherish her many memories 6 children; Charlie, San Jose, CA;
Charles (Barbara), Columbus, OH; Doris, Dumfries, VA, Elijah (Paula), West
Chester, OH, Theodore (Myra) Oakland, CA, and Linda, Davenport, IA; two
sisters, Mrs. Fannie Cheeks, Birmingham, AL, Magnolia (David) Payne, Oak
Park, MI; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Juanita Sanders and Christine Sanders; 13
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and
friends.
