
William Cobb, Jr. was born on September 3, 1941 to Lorena and William Sr. (both deceased), in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The family later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended school. William Cobb, Jr. was born on September 3, 1941 to Lorena and William Sr. (both deceased), in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The family later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended school. Cobb found Christ at an early age at Inspirational Spiritual Church of God.
After completing High School at Withrow, he joined the U.S. Marines in which he served four years, during the Vietnam era. He was one of the first Black Greyhound Bus Drivers out of Cincinnati.
He married Wanda Blue and to that union, they had four children: Rodney, Keven, Crystal and William III. They moved to Denver, Colorado where he worked for RTD Metro as a Bus Operator. He retired after 22 years in 2001 and returned to Cincinnati.
After a short illness, Cobb passed away on May 24, 2014. He leaves to mourn: a loving and devoted wife, Wanda; five children, Rodney, Keven, Crystal, William III and Bryant; six grandchildren, Jalesa, Jamel, Amanda, Keven Jr., Coleman and Mekaila; three great-grand-children, Ruben, Lillian and Amor’e; a daughter-in-law, Maria; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
