To the Craig Family, I would like to start off by saying what an absolute beautiful ceremony that we were all able to share in the memory of Mr. Craig; from the beginning to the end. After the privilege of meeting some of you, I can see why he was so caring and loving to others. I (we at Millcreek) adored Mr. Craig! Not only the staff but also the beautiful little children we cared for on Unit 52 - ages 6-12. I worked with him from 1989 - 1995 when Millcreek closed and we all went separate ways, unfortunately. By far, that was my favorite job in my 40 years of Nursing and believe Mr. Craig would feel the same way. We were all like family together, we used to laugh and say we were a 'dysfunctional family' but it all worked out, we all cared for each other which made it more productive for the children we cared for. I have to truthfully say in the years I worked with him everyday then the long time lapse until his funeral yesterday, I have NEVER heard a negative word against him or heard him be negative toward another. When I learned he passed away, I was so saddened but remembered he was a child of God and knew where his eternity would be which always makes these sad times more bearable. This is when I wanted to make sure you, the family, know how much he was also cared for and some of the lighter, fun things that happened at work (for some reason, I can't figure how to make paragraphs so this will look like a gobbly-gook of words :) ). When I first started at Millcreek, Mr. Craig, as we all fondly called him, was very helpful in training new people as all of the staff were. Everyday he worked, he lit up the room with that beautiful smile from ear to ear. I used to tell him to keep smiling because his teeth were so great to look at and those beautiful teeth and fun laugh would put everyone in a good mood! :) His dress was always perfect. He always wore those beautiful silk-like jogging suits with gym shoes to match and he better never get a spot on those shoes!. He would be cleaning that off right away! :) He would always offer to go to "the top (the other units and the administration part if the nurses needed anything. :) He would always be involved with the children as he was not a staff to sit around. :) He and I once had to give one of the children a shower in that huge shower room where they all bathed but we had to give that little boy a lice treatment. Since neither of us had really seen lice before that, we put a couple in a medicine cup, put a little of that medicine on them, used a magnifying glass and watched them curl up and die. :). We used to take the children sled-riding down one of those little hills there at Millcreek. The were little kids and they loved that! :) He and I also used to take them to the Gym in another building roller skating. To this day, I am sad that I never learned to skate. :( Anyway, the funny part of this was on one day everyone was skating and an emergency was called in another building so he had to go running. I was on skates but 2 of the kids were pulling me around so I could skate, too! He HAD to go so I was there with all of those kids alone and of course, 2 of them started fighting so there I was trying to take off those tight skates as I was in the floor attempting to get them to stop fighting verbally! After the crisis he went to, he came back to get us all! :) He, I and a couple more staff took a bus full of kids to Chuck E. Cheese one weekend; there were already at least 100 other hyper kids already there. Well, it looked that that many, anyway :) When that activity was over, finally, we rounded all of them up, had another head count on the bus and one was missing! All of the staff got wild-eyed when Mr. Craig went running back in to get him and the child was still playing not even aware we left the building! :) Another time, we took a bunch of the kids to a matinee and, of course, one started acting out and to make it so everyone else could still enjoy the outing instead of returning, Mr. Craig took that child alone, separating him from the others so
