TERRY A. HENDRICKS was born on August 31, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jeanette Hendricks and Casey Dudley. Terry departed this life on September 11, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Hendricks, father Casey Dudley, and sister Tammy Hendricks.
Terry’s personality was warm and he made friends easily. He was funny and he could give you the history of any subject, at least his version of the history. He was well loved by all who knew him. He was popular in high school as he was a beast on the football field. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and creating amazing memories. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved watching the games and discussing who performed well or not with anyone who would listen. He also really enjoyed watching his children and their children play sports. The family traveled to many tournaments both locally and to various states as he cheered on their collective and individual sports achievements while unofficially coaching from the stands.
Terry graduated from Aiken High School. He graduated from Wilmington College with an Associate of Arts Degree in June, 1985. Terry worked in the bakery business and the construction business until his health issues would not allow him to continue. The health issues never interfered with his gregarious personality. Terry loved his family with every fiber of his being. His amazing smile would light up the room and all knew when he was present. He will be missed by all.
Terry leaves to cherish in memory his life partner (Robyn), his children, Shequ’ala (Ryan), Deontae (Iman), Stephanie (Maurice), and Jessie; his grandchildren as well as a host of other children who at various times he and Robyn raised.
Also, cherishing his memory, his bonus mom, Mama Ruthie and his brothers and sisters, Maurice Hendricks, Carmella Dudley, Carolyn Cliette, Robert Dudley. Likewise, Aunt Anita Gannaway, Uncle Anthony Youngblood, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Terry loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many times he and Robyn would discuss the Bible and the meaning therein as they tried to live the life God planned for them. Their union was orchestrated by God. He understood that the two of them would face challenges yet with due diligence, they could depend on God for Favor and Mercy as they learned to transform into the people God designed them to be.
