Sherri Ann Davis

Davis, Sherri Ann “Aiyah”, 66, of Dayton passed away Sunday February 15, 2026. She is preceded in death by her mother Gloria Reese, father Eugene Davis, sister Darcella and nephew Douglas. She leaves to cherish, her daughter Shekinah Rhodes and her son Samuel Rhodes; her grandchildren, Lil Freddie, Sayre, Malena, Santos, Alina, and Lil Sammy. She was blessed to have children in love; Freddie Johnson (Lynetta) and Fernando McCloud and grandchildren in love, Jerell, Freelyn, Lil Fernando, Ferrell, Carter and Jordan; niece, Donial Davis; and numerous other family and friends.

Sherri attended the University of Cincinnati, where she made her home. During her professional career, she worked for the Federal Government for over 35 years.

Beyond her professional life, Sherri was passionate about gardening, watching cooking shows, shopping, traveling, and watching sports (especially Football and March Madness). She was a devoted grandmother who loved the holidays where she most of her time with her grandchildren.

Above all, Sherri considered being a parent, grandmother to be her greatest accomplishment. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and tradition. She was the foundation of the family always supporting, encouraging, praying, and guiding those she loved.
