SHEILA JEAN STOMBOCK COTTLE, aged 73, of Forest Park, Ohio, passed away on April 18, 2024. She was born on June 9, 1950 in Huntington, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, David B. Stombock Sr. and Lucille Hensley Stombock Elswick. Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Barry, and her two sons B.J. and Steven. Sheila is survived by David & Denise Stombock of Huntington, West Virginia. Sheila survived by J.D. & Donna Stombock of Portsmouth, Ohio. Sheila is survived by a loving family, several nieces, nephews, and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Sheila attended Marshall University. She met Barry Cottle in 1970 at Trinity Church of God, in Huntington, West Virginia. They married in Huntington, West Virginia on March 27, 1971. Sheila then graduated with her nursing degree in June, 1971 from St. Mary’s School of Nursing. Sheila graduated with a Bachelor’s from Capital University in later years. Sheila ran her successful life care planning business for Eighteen years & Sheila worked for the State of Ohio Industrial Commission for fifteen years as a Nurse. Sheila was on Forest Park City council for 12 years & also spent many years on Waycross Community Programming Board.
Sheila will be remembered for her kindness and gentle spirit. She touched the lives of many with her warm smile and caring nature. Her love and compassion knew no bounds, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
