Shefford K. Jones

Shefford K. Jones was born March 1, 1955 in Middle- town, Ohio to James “Eaglebee” W. Graham and Rosa Mae Jones-Crowell; Donnell “Chubbie” Crowell preceded him in death. Shefford was affectionately known to all as Sheff. He spent his childhood in Middletown, Ohio; and attended Middletown City Schools, graduating in 1974.
After High School, he settled in Middletown, Ohio where he was employed at Armco Steel Corp for years, until his retirement. He later moved to Pensacola, Florida from 1992 until 2000 and he also moved to Montgomery, Alabama from 2000 until 2009, before returning to Mid- dletown, Ohio in 2009.
He leaves to mourn: three daughters, Shawtae’, (Jonathan) Thomas of Middletown, Ohio, Sonsee (Travis Mitchell) Jones of Notasulga, Alabama and Lanico King of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son, Skylar Jones of Houston, Texas; a dear friend, Nancy Handley of Georgia; six brothers, Bertram (Juanita) Jones of Middletown, Ohio, Kenneth (Erika) Jones of West Chester, Ohio, Dana Crowell of New Jersey, Phil Gram, Tim Gram and Damon Gram, all of Middletown, Ohio; eight grand- children, Shalondria Jones Thomas, Shawkeyeaz Thomas, Shawvontae’ Thomas, Syonntavius Jones, Tavaris Mitchell, Tylik Mitchell, Jodeci Pruden and Avyn King; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and many friends.
On July 1, 2015, Sheff let go of his worn shell and transitioned from this earthly life. His vibrant smile will always be remembered by those that knew him best. May God rest his soul.
