Seabron Chapman Jr. “Pop” decided to transition into his spiritual body on June 10, 2025. He fought a good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. The Lord called him home and he surrendered.
Seabron was born on October 21, 1939, in Macon, Georgia to the late Seabron and Odessa Chapman Sr. He was one of six children. Seabron was a certified licensed exterminator who worked for the Cincinnati Public Schools for many years until he retired. He was a very intellectual man who could not only recite his ABC’s backwards but could also recite every book in the bible.
Seabron was a very generous man with a big heart. The Lord saw his heart and blessed him abundantly, so that he could be a blessing to others.
Seabron married the late Genevieve Chapman on March 16, 1963, and became a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather for over 60 years. He was baptized and confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He later became a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
Seabron leaves to cherish his memory; children, Phyllis Simmons and Sandra Nesbit; two sons-in-law, Reginald Simmons and Carl Nesbit; five grandchildren, Shaneece (Quinten), Reginald Jr. (Asia), Destiny, Kaila, and Alana; six great grandchildren, Mariah, Jasiah, Miracle, Amina, Legacy, and Joseph Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
