Sarah Belle Miller-Pierce, daughter of the late Clarence E. Miller (Claudine) and Minnie Lee Atkins (Ben), was born March 10, 1942, in Wyoming, Ohio.
Sarah Belle was educated in the Wyoming School District and was a graduate of Wyoming High School.
At an early age Sarah professed her faith and joined Zion Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated member serving on the Senior and Junior Usher Board as well as Treasurer.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Virgil W. Pierce Sr. on October 4, 1963. Along with marriage they shared a love for bowling, traveling, and her weekly line dancing. Sarah’s thoughtfulness over the years was impeccable, she never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or a Christmas card.
Sarah was an active member of the Eastern Star Chapter #99.
Sarah worked for Cincinnati Bell, Internal Revenue Service, and Cincinnati Speech and Hearing, where she went on to retire.
Although the memories of Sarah Belle are far too many to mention, they will forever be etched into the hearts of those who knew her. She will be truly missed.
Sarah was preceded in death by one child Robert Todd (Tiffany) Miller; 1 brother Samuel McElroy and 3 sisters Sonya Felder, Madeline Lee and Sarah Claudine McElroy.
Sarah Belle leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband, Virgil W. Pierce Sr.; 1 daughter Sherri Bethea; 2 sons, Virgil W. Pierce Jr. and Jared Pierce; 6 sisters, Benita Tillman, Marchell Miller-Henderson (Wayne), Barbara Crenshaw, Lillie Muhammad (Willie), Marguerite Ashley, and Karen McElroy; 3 brothers William, Jerry, and Johnny McElroy; Grandchildren; Rashad, Jasmine, Dakawn, Ryan, Elijah, Ezekiel, Shawn, Malik, London, and Maura; Great Grandchildren Harlem, Amir, Ryleigh, Ki’moura, Raya, Nami, and Knox; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
