Since death is the birthday of eternity and the body is only the house of the spirit, we who loved Ruth Margaret Hibbett and were bound to her by treasured ties of affec-tion, send faith this last tribute with our legacy of love.
Ruth Hibbett was the seventh of nine children born to the late Robert and Mary Thomas on December 9, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She suddenly departed this life on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
Ruth Hibbett received her education at Our Lady of Angels. She worked at Marjorie P. Lee Nursing Home for some years, where she met and married Harry Paige Hibbett in 1967. She moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she had her first child, Tammi Paige Hibbett in 1968, and her second child, Stacey Elizabeth in 1970. In 1971, Stacey was called home due to health complications. She moved back to Cincinnati and began working at Otta EPP Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 1997.
MaMa never met a stranger, always with a smile on her face and love in her heart. She devoted her life to Christ at an early age, as well as her family. She had two grand-daughters, Krystal Paige and Khiara Nycole whom she loved, adored and cherished. To whomever crossed her path, she shared love, wisdom and knowledge.
On March 13, 2012, after a long battle of Renal Cancer, Ruth was called home to join her Godly father and a host of her family and friends who preceded her.
Ruth is survived by: her daughter, Tammi Paige Hibbett; her granddaughters, Krystal Paige Hibbett and Khiara Nycole Hibbett; nieces, Debra Ann Thomas, Janet Thomas of New York and Anita (Walter) Braxton of Michigan; nephews, Joe Thomas and Robert Thomas of Chicago; great nieces, Latese Mary Thomas and Kourtney and Kendall Braxton of Michigan; great nephew, Brandon Armon Thomas; great great niece, Jamiah Ann Thomas; great great nephews, Brandon Armon Thomas, Jr., Kyren Thomas, Trevon Thomas and Zae Thomas; and a host of relatives and friends.
Special thanks to all her closet friends, too many to mention. Thank You and we love you all
