Rose Love

Rose A. Love was born on October 12, 1922 in Hinesville, Georgia to the late Emmitt and Annie Levant.
Rose was educated at Dorchester Academy located in Hinesville, Georgia, where she played sports and graduated high school. Rose accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. Reading her Bible and sharing the word with family and friends was something she enjoyed doing.
Rose was united in matrimony to the love of her life, the late Jeff Love on February 14, 1946 in Statesboro, Georgia. To this union, three children were born. In 1954, Jeff and Rose moved the family to Cincinnati, Ohio where Rose worked as a homemaker. Rose united with St. Simon of Cyrene and began actively working in the church. She loved working with the PTA, the Alter Guild, and being a secretary. She also enjoyed being a member of the Moderettes Social Club. Rose and Jeff together were active in the commun- ity registering voters.
As the Matriarch of the family, Rose took special pride in loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They made her life complete and she was proud to offer her unconditional love and advice. She kept us laughing at some of her stories and would always greet you with a smile. Rose loved to cook; however she enjoyed eating a good meal more than cook- ing. One of her favorite quotes was “Faith could move mountains.” As her health declined, she continued to believe she walked by faith and not by sight. She loved the Lord and enjoyed being a faithful servant unto the Lord until her final day on earth. Rose departed this life on July 5, 2015 with her family by her side.
Rose leaves to cherish by memory: two daughters, Gloria Paige and Beretha Andrew (Ronnie) of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Freddie Love (Kimberly) of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Adrian Hodge (Stewart), Lisa Isome (Dion) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charon Paige of Suffolk, Virginia, Crystal Andrew of Cincinnati, Ohio, Terrance Paige (Carree) of Burleson, Texas, Demetria Sims and Levi Love of Atlanta, Georgia; eight great-grand- children, Alexus Coggins (Darrell), Aysia Paige-Mack, Laila Paige, Alliyah Paige, Caleb Sims, Brayden Isome, Tremell Duck and Braxton Paige; one sister-in-law, Lebertha Wilson; one brother-in-law, Buddessie Love; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
