Ronald Turner

Ronald Turner, affectionately known as “Hook,” was born on September 19, 1949, to Mabel Berry and William B. Stemrick. He was one of eight boys — William Turner Jr., Kenneth Turner, Gregory Stemrick, Reginald Turner, Gerald Turner, Randall Turner, and Lawrence Stemrick.

Ronald was a savvy businessman who earned his bachelor’s degree in business. He incorporated those principles into his daily life — always focused, determined, and committed to building something better for himself and his family. His ambition and hard work inspired those around him to pursue excellence and never give up.

He loved his sports, but not as much as he loved his children: Ronnette Jenkins, Patricia Morris (aka “Gert”), Ronald Turner II, Laquisha Daniels, Shannon Turner (Crischelle), and the youngest of them all, Ronnesha Turner.

He also found great joy in his grandchildren: Ronecia Turner, Nick Jones, Jaylen Turner, Reign Turner, Dezire Turner, Maliyah Johnson, Kaleb Johnson, Donovan Heard Jr., Justice Heard, Syncere Heard, Stewart Hodge Jr., Shannon Hodge, Jamol Morris, Jamyria Morris, Mo’Nieha, Mo’Nasjha, Shiloh, Shannon Jr., Shamar, Cierra Johnson, Monica Johnson, and Dylon Lynn.

Ronald loved his great-grandkids dearly. He was also blessed with a host of nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Ronnie — and he loved each and every one of them.
