Ronald Lee Johnson, affectionately known as “Boo”, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 22, 1953. He was the third of four children born to Major and Della Johnson. His parents and two other siblings, Daniel LaBorn, Jr. and Vivian Joyce Williams, preceded him in death.
Ronald was educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools, graduating from Withrow High School in 1971. He attended Central State University, majoring in Business Administration. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ronald loved life and loved to have a good time. You would always know when he was around because he would light up the room with his smile and his jovial laughter. As a young man, and during his adult years, he was an accomplished roller skater and could often be seen at the Arcade Roller Rink. He received several awards for skating including ―Best Skater in Cincinnati.‖ While attending Central State University, he was very popular among his peers and was active in campus activities. His humorous view of life was contagious and anyone who spent time in his presence would say he was always one who would leave you in amusement.
Ronald was employed for several years until his health pre- vented him from working. Professionally, he was best known for the many years he served as the Manager of Baker Shoe Stores in Downtown Cincinnati and at the Kenwood Mall location. He remained in service with the company until all of the stores went out of business.
Ronald met the love of his life, Sharon Langford, in 1979. On September 27, 1986, they were united in Holy Matrimony. Sharon describes the love they shared as ―inseparable‖. They did everything together and the soft side of Ronald was shared with only her during the quite times they spent together. He was a very attentive husband and always made sure her every need was met.
Ronald had a dynamic personality and was loved by many. He truly loved his family. We will never forget his ―wet sloppy kisses‖ that he loved to share with his family members and others he loved.
Ronald departed his earthly home on August 4, 2014. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Sharon Johnson; his only child – son, Ronnell Middlebrooks-Johnson of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Larry Johnson and Jerry Wheeler-Johnson; sisters, Barbara Terrell and Sandra Johnson-Gill; mother-in-law, Mitzi Hogan; sister-in-laws, Deidra Langford, Nicole Langford, Carolina Langford, Sheila Johnson and Sharon Brown; brother- in-laws, Ronald Milford, Don Gill, Willie Finch and Lamont Lang- ford; one godson, Chuck Thomas; and a host of nieces, neph- ews, cousins, relatives and friends.
