Richard Edward Frakes, Jr. (Ricky) was the first child born on August 28, 1952 through the union of Gwendolyn and Richard Frakes, Sr. (who preceded him in death). After graduating from Elder High School, Ricky enlisted in the United States Air Force during the time of the Vietnam War.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Gwendolyn B. Frakes; four brothers, Gregory L. Frakes (Janice), Jonathan T. Frakes, Peter D. Frakes and Kenneth D. Frakes (Holley); three sisters, Sherri A. Bell, Jacqueline K. Boston and Bertina C. Frakes.
Also his nephews, Little Greg, Matthew, Joseph, Johsua, Peter Jr., Malcolm, Sylvester IV and Steven; his nieces, Kianna, Katrina, Kanstance and Teylor; great neph-ews, Baby Greg and Christopher and a great niece, Christa; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Throughout his life, Ricky was a gentle and peaceful soul who never had an unkind word to say against anyone. We referred to him as the ?I don?t know man?. He was a great man; however, God had a master plan. Without warn-ing on December 26th, God called him home that night. Ricky is now in a place where he is all right.
