“Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)
Phillip Roger McGee was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Gloria (nee Manor) and Paul E. McGee Sr. on June 16, 1960. Phil was fourth of five children.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul E. McGee Sr., his sister Valarie McGee, his paternal grandparents John and Clara Mae McGee, and maternal grandparents Milton and Lola Manor.
He was a graduate of Finneytown High School and Diamond Oaks where he majored in carpentry. He had many jobs over the years including carpet installation, working at Miller Brewing Co. and yard landscaping.
Phillip is lovingly remembered by his mother Gloria McGee, his brothers Paul E. McGee Jr. (Vallerie) and Steven McGee (Monica) all of Cincinnati, OH; his sister Paula McGee Richie (Tony) of Louisville, KY; and his longtime love and soul mate Faye Browne, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be sorely missed by all those that came to know him. Some of his longtime joys in life were camping, playing pool and fishing, whether he caught anything or not. He enjoyed Reds baseball, and the Bengals football. He was truly a hometown sports fan.
He was a member of Gray Road Church. As we celebrate the remarkable life of Phil, we thank God for as much time as he allowed us to share with him. He will be remembered to us as having a kind heart, loving nature and gentle soul.
