Pearl E. Daniel was born on April 17, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia, the only child of the late Arthur Worthy and Fannie Turner. On March 13, 2012, at the Oak Pavilion Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, she exchanged her life for eternal rest.
To her knowledge, she was the longest living female on her side of the family, having out lived her mother, grandmothers and aunts.
As a child, she adored her grandmothers, Mama and Ma Dear who helped raise her. They were pillars of strength and courage. Lessons learned from them sustained her into adulthood. She graduated from David T. Howard High School with their support.
In 1956, Pearl moved to Cincinnati to be with her mother after her brief illness. She united with Richard Daniel and to this union, two sons, Rickey and Edwin Daniel were born.
Later in life, she worked for nine years as a Food Ser-vice Aide at Mt. Auburn Senior Center and one year as a Teacher?s Aide at St. Joseph Catholic School, before retiring.
Helping people, especially children, made her smile. Although never a grandmother, Pearl gave from the heart. She would feed you if you were hungry or provided a warm hug if you were neglected.
Cooking was her passion. Family and Friends often called her kitchen her second home. Some of Pearl?s favorite meals were ribs, greens, crackling cornbread and fresh apple pie.
As you can see, her life was full and without regrets. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: two beloved sons, Rickey L. and Edwin C. Daniel; dearest friend, Patricia Harlan; as well as other relatives and friends.
