Sister Pamela Jayne Davis was born April 15, 1961 to the late Clayton David Sr. and Maggie Lane David of Athens, Alabama.
Pamela sought the Lord, our God, at an early age and joined New Life Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized at twelve years old. Her true understanding of God?s grace came on February 15, 1999 when she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during a visit at International Gospel Outreach Family Church in Smyrna, Georgia.
Pam relocated to Houston, Texas where she joined Lakewood Church and where she faithfully served in a wide range of volunteer roles. She started in Kids Life ministering to the youth and then transitioned to the singles ministry where she ministered hope through friendship. Pamela served as a prayer partner, ministering daily to the needs of people. Along the way Pamela developed a passion for missions traveling to Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. Pamela was instrumental in the formation of three missions organizations; Circle of Love, Hands of the King and Tower of Hope Ministries, all of which still take the hope of Jesus Christ to the city of Houston, communities of the Northern border of Mexico, and the 4 corners of the highest mountains and deepest jungles of Peru.
More recently Pam joined Pastors Frank and Allie Mazzapeka at Celebration Church in the Woodlands, Texas, an extension of Lakewood Church, where she continued to be used of the Lord.
Pamela lead a very purposeful, full and rich life that exemplified God?s Love.
To cherish her memory, she leaves Maggie David, her loving mother; beloved brothers Clayton David III and Wirvyn Dean David Sr.; beloved sisters Ella McCants, Brenda Thompson, Judy David and Kimberly Pigram (her twin sister); Sisters-in-law Brenda and Angela David; Brothers-in-law Nelson McCants, Stan Thompson and Vinson Pigram; Uncles William Mack David and Thomas Lane; Aunts Elizabeth and Barbara David and Juanita Lane; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
