Ms. Orangie Lee Moore was born in Reform, Alabama
on July 19, 1936 to the late Dewitt Moore and
Susie (Sanders) Moore. She was the fifth child of four
brothers and one sister.
After 8 years in the nursing home, she departed this
life on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Twin Towers Nursing
Home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was united
with the membership of Christian Hope Baptist
Church in Reform, Alabama. She graduated from
Hope Well High School in Alabama and married her
high school love, the late Bobby John Windham of
Reform, Alabama.
In 1960, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a
member of Zion Hope Baptist Church and later in the
mid ?70?s, she joined Good News Church of God In
Christ under the leadership of the late Elder James
Quick, Sr.
She was a loving mother, very creative, enjoyed sewing,
crochet, arts and crafts, music, singing and cooking
for family and friends. She was a volunteer at the
Bush Recreation Center. She was very involved in the
Winton Hills Community Council and performed various
volunteer services. She was a choir member and
Sunday School Teacher. The Lord called her to do missionary
work where she proceeded to spread the word
of the Lord wherever she went. She truly loved the
Lord and often shared the good news of Jesus Christ
until her health started failing her.
Orangie was preceded in death by her son, Curtis
H. Moore; and four brothers, Dewitt, Jesse, Walter
and Wilbert Moore.
Orangie will forever be remembered by: her beloved sister, Johnnie Mae Powell (Sonny) of Cleveland, Ohio;
sister-in-law, Althenia Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio; five
children, Joe Bernard Windham (Mary) of Milford, Ohio,
Jimmy R. Moore (Cynthia) of South Bend, Indiana,
Brenda Dixon (fiancé, Herbert), Eric Tyrone Windham
(Belinda) of Wisconsin and Christopher J. Windham; 15
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one greatgreat-
grandchild; a host of loving relatives and friends
