

On Thursday, March 12, 2015, Norman Woolfork left these mundane shores to go home to be with the Lord. Norman was born on July 26, 1932 to the union of the late Joseph Wade and Lillie Mae Wool- fork. He is preceded in death by his brother, Wilbur Woolfork, his sister, Madelyn Woolfork and his grandson, Tarrod Wallace.
Norman accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the late Reverend T.L. Barron. He attended Cincinnati Public Schools.
Norman entered the United States Navy on June 24, 1952 and served as a Steward. On June 24, 1971 after 20 years of service, Norman transferred to the Fleet Reserve of the United States Navy. On January 1, 1982, he received his Certificate of Retirement for faithfully and honorably serving in the United States Navy as a Mess Management Specialist Seaman. Norman received four medals while serving his country: the National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal.
Norman and Annie Brewer had three children: Margarita, Iris and Norman Jr.
Upon returning to Cincinnati, he joined the New Sardis Primitive Baptist Church under Rev. B. Brown.
Norman leaves to cherish his memory: three child- ren, Margarita Wright, Iris (Kenny) McHenry and Norman Woolfork, Jr., all of Annapolis, MD; three brothers, Willie Woolfork, Wade (Shirley) Woolfork, Vernon Woolfork and one sister, Eileen Willis; seven grandchildren, Kinte McGowan, Te’Armo McGowan, Shannea Butler, LaKisha McGowan, Daysha Woolfork, Norman Woolfork III and DaMario Woolfork; 23 great-grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
