Norma Louise Barnes (Carr) was born on August 12, 1944 in Warsaw, Kentucky. She was born to the late Ernest S. Carr and to the late Hazel (nee Denning) Carr. She departed this life on January 10, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. Preceding her were her brothers, Cornell Carr, Ray Denning and sister, Betsy Rose Carr.
Norma was baptized at the early age of 9 at Mother of God Parrish. She graduated from Lincoln Heights High School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and serving other people. She sang in the choir and helped out with various duties at St. Martin de Porres. She joined in holy matrimony with Michael E. Barnes, Sr. at St. Christina. This union was blessed with a son, Michael E. Barnes, Jr. Before retiring, she worked for the Keebler Company for several years.
Norma leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Michael Barnes, Jr. (Margaret); two grandchildren, Myeshia Barnes and Michael Barnes III; sisters, Mary Stewart (Cecil), Gerth Ann Carr, Mary Inell Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia, Katherine McMillan (Sonny) and Elizabeth Howard of Pennsylvania; brother, Robert Carr; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
