Nicholas Stewart Neblett was born on December 11, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of William Stewart and Eudora Gee Neblett. His sister, Marion Neblett Isaacs pre- ceded him in death.
He was united in marriage to Felicia Cox on October 30, 1948. She preceded him in death.
Nicholas joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at an early age. He served as Head Trustee for many years, as well as Sunday School, Laymen’s League, Male Chorus, Over 60 Choir, Chairman of the Building Fund for T.L. Barren Annex and New Church Sanctuary of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corp. and became a Tuskegee Airman. He was triple rated; Navigator, Pilot, Bombardier and commissioned as 1st Lieutenant.
He retired from General Electric after 33 years of service in the Jet Engine Test Department.
He leaves to mourn: seven children, Ron (Donna), Gwendolyn, Norman (Annette), Dale (Tisha), David, Nicholas Jr. and Paul; 21 grand- children and 30 plus great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
