Neil Gregory Jones was born on August 17, 1963 in Fort Hamilton hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. He was the third child of John Paul Jones and Lucille (Sherman) Jones.
“Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.” Ephesians 3:17
Neil attended Pilgrim Baptist Church where he participated in Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and Children’s Choir. He later joined the church and was baptized by Rev. Dr. Norman L. Townsel, Sr.
Neil was a graduate of Badin High School in Hamilton, Ohio. He continued his education at Central State University where he received a BS degree in Business Administration. He later was employed as a bank teller at Second National Bank in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a manager at Burger King until his debilitating illness required his retirement.
Neil enjoyed baseball and basketball. His favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds and the New York Yankees.
Neil was called home from labor to reward on Sunday, August 18, 2024 after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lucille Jones and Paul Jones; a sister, Toni Lynn Jones.

Neil leaves to cherish his pleasant memories a brother Kevin Paul Jones, a sister Paula Webb (Michael), a son Marques Paul Jones who is a law student at The Ohio State University; twin daughters Zoey Jones who is employed by the United States Postal Service, and Neilia Jones who is an airline flight attendant; one uncle: Jody Jones; two aunts: Barbara Ann Hawkins of Phoenix, Arizona; Marva Sherman of West Chester, Ohio; and many relatives and friends.
