Mitzi Ann Gresham was born on January 6, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the union of Fred and Mabel Gresham. She grew up in Cincinnati with her 9 siblings; amongst her siblings Mitzi was the eldest girl of the family. She was known to take care of her younger siblings and was very protective of her sisters.
Mitzi received her education from Hughes High School. Shortly after high school she married Larry Dove. She shared her life with Larry until he passed. She has worked various jobs throughout her life.
Mitzi was an outgoing person who never met a stranger, and she was always the life of the party. If she was around, you knew it would be a good time. She enjoyed socializing and being surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to have a good time with libations, food, music, dancing, playing cards and dominoes. She had a feisty attitude, spunky personality, good spirit and loved to laugh. She was small in stature but with her feisty attitude she could hold her own against anything or anyone. She was a daughter, loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and devoted friend.
Mitzi was preceded in death by her Husband Larry Dove, Father Fred Gresham, Mother Mabel Gresham, Sisters Paulette Winstead (née Gresham), Lori and Valerie Gresham; Brothers Lance, Frederick, George Sr., Dale Sr., and Allan Gresham; and longtime companion Wallace Fant (aka Dickey).
Mitzi leaves her memory to be cherished by her children Andre Dove (Tracey) and Tawana (TeJae) Sanders; Granddaughters India Dove and Taeya Johnson; Great granddaughters Alyssa Paige and Harmony Cree; Brother Michael Gresham and a host of relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed but our memories of her will remain always and forever.
