Milton Kimble was born November 28, 1947 in Quincy, Florida. He moved to Cincinnati with his mother and father, Inez & Leonard Walker, and his sister, Barbara. He graduated from Taft High School, where he developed a strong passion for Math. He pursued a degree in Accounting at the University of Cincinnati and later received his MBA from Xavier University.
Milton developed a love for the martial arts. He studied Karate and he achieved a 7th degree black belt in the Shorei Karate Association. He sought out ways to assist others, serving as President of the Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) Board, Treasurer of the 1965 Taft Class Reunion and President of the McCallister Family Reunion.
He met the love of his life, Christine Brooks, in Karate class. Milton joked that ‘Christine interrupted his Karate class by sauntering through the middle of it while he was teaching.’ It Clearly Worked!! They were married on August 27, 1977 and they successfully raised three children, Marcus, Rodney, and KaNeeTa. They celebrated their 38th anniversary this year.
Milton departed this life Tuesday morning on Sept 22nd 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Christine Kimble; 2 sons Marcus (DeVouna) and Rodney (Charmain) Brooks; 2 daughters Towanna Monroe and KaNeeTa Kimble (fiancé, Re’Yon Smith); 5 grandchildren, Alicia, Jalen, Deauna, Jordan, and Jayden; parents Leonard and Inez Walker; 2 sisters Barbara (Fred) Gulley and Delatha Murray of Florida; brother Leonard Walker Jr. (who preceded him in death) and a host of other relatives and friends.
