Michael Patrick Feldhaus, 76, passed away peacefully at The Christ Hospital on August 17, 2020 after complications from by-pass surgery. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife, children and family.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marlene (née Roeckers); his beloved children: Michael (Michele) Lavatori; Micky (Darren) Wesley; Gina Helphinstine; Sean (Kelly) Feldhaus; Brian (Mindy Sheppard) Feldhaus and much loved son-in-law, Dale Helphinstine; his adored grandchildren: Dale, Jr and Jessica Helphinstine; Marisa (Jacob) Lewis; Makenna Lavatori; Scott and Alex Wesley; Jacob Helphinstine; Madison Feldhaus; Jersi Helphinstine; Marina and Olivia Feldhaus; Jason Helphinstine; Nicholas and Samuel Feldhaus and great-grandson, Alexander Wesley. Also survived by his dear brothers: Frank (the late Maryann) Feldhaus, Jr.; Edward (Cassandra) Feldhaus, and Daniel (Cathie) Feldhaus, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who mourn his loss.
Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents: Frank “Pappy” Sr. and Agnes (née Driscoll) Feldhaus, as well as his dear sister Mary “Tootie” Agnes Feldhaus.
Michael was a proud West-sider and a 1962 graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served Honorably in the Vietnam War. He was a current and long-time resident of St. Bernard, Ohio where he and his wife raised their children. Michael loved and cherished his family and time spent together. He coached many of his children’s youth sports teams over the years. Forever an Ohio State Buckeyes and Detroit Lions fan and Star Wars buff. He enjoyed grilling out, going to Ohio State soccer games, and his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and activities. He religiously followed European soccer teams and loved watching the Bundesliga and Europa leagues.
