Melvin Bentley, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 11, 2024. He was born on August 13, 1938, in Roberta, Georgia, to the late Johnnie and Purlie Mae Bentley.
In 1957, Melvin married his sweetheart, Emily Bentley, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love and devotion for over 67 years. Their union was blessed with two sons, Marvin and Douglas. The family moved to Cincinnati in the 1960s, where they established their home and remained life-long residents.
Melvin was passionate about cars and was a frequent attendee at local car shows. His love for automobiles was only surpassed by his love for his family. Melvin was a man that adored his family.
He worked for many years at Cincinnati Milacron, providing for his family with dedication and hard work.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Johnnie and Purlie Mae Bentley, one brother (name to be provided), and his sons, Marvin and Douglas.
Melvin leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife, Emily Bentley; his cherished granddaughters, Kristian Bentley and Amanda Bentley; and his seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Willie J. (Alean) Bentley; his sister, Agnes Hollingshed; his sisters-in-law, Lillie Johnson and Mattie Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.
