Mattie Simmons Worsham was born on May 16, 1925 to Mattie Lou Brown and Phillip Thomas Simmons in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
The family later migrated to Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended Cincinnati Public Schools in Madisonville, Ohio. Mattie worked at Model Laundry for many years and retired as a dayworker for private families.
She was married to the late Walter Worsham in 1968.
Mattie loved to travel, fishing and being with family. She was the eldest matriarch of the Simmons clan; 12 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn: her cherished niece, Adoria (Dodie) Simmons; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
