Mary Agnes West was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 30, 1937 to Margie Mae Washington and Mitchell Paine. Mary was reared by Allen Washington. She attended Saint Francis Seraph Church and School. Mary met her husband, Authur Taul West in 1954 and they married in 1955. They were blessed with one daughter, Beverly Jean Jackson and one son, Brian Eric West whom she loved with all her heart. For many years, Mary provided home health care and housekeeping for private families. In 1992, she retired due to her client?s needing intense medical attention.
She met her companion, James Taul in 1987. They took care of one another and loved each other. He made sure she was a happy woman. In the year of 2000, she was diagnosed with Dementia (Alzheimer?s disease) and became disabled along with other illnesses. Her daughter, Beverly took the role as her caregiver and took care of her. In 2004, Mary entered Oak Pavilion for a short time while her daughter got her home better equipped for her. She returned and lived there for five years while family mem-bers pitched in with her care. As her health decreased, Mary returned to Oak Pavilion from 2005-2009. In 2010, Mary was moved to Veranda Gardens where she received exceptional service and care until God called her home. Mary?s love for her family kept her heart thriving. Being with her family, and taking care of her granddaughter, Labrina gave her great joy. She also enjoyed cooking, shop-ping, listening to music and watching her soap operas.
Her father, mother, husband and daughter preceded her in death. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Brian E. West (Beverly); three grandchildren, Labrina A. Buckner, Bri?kyah West and Zechar?yah West; and two grandsons by marriage, Joshua Gill and Isaiah Gill; three great-grand-children, Aubrey L. Pryor III, Donald Jones, Jr. and La?Bria Gatewood; and a host of wonderful family and friends.
