Marilyn Louise Jarman was born December 14, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Margaret (Rhodes) and Ernest Jarman. Marilyn had a quiet power and grace that was evident through her service and love for her family and others. She departed this life on June 4, 2020 at Woodridge Healthcare LLC after a lengthy Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Marilyn graduated from Wyoming High School and attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio. She was also a member of the Oak Avenue School Alumni Association and attended meetings until her health failed.
Early in life she answered God’s call to join the workers in his kingdom at Bethel AME Church in Lockland, Ohio. Later she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church located in Woodlawn, Ohio where she remained an active faithful member until her death. Marilyn faithfully served as a Trustee at Mt. Zion Baptist Church until her health began to fail. She was also a “Seasoned Saint’s Member”, an “Allegro Choir Member”, and a “MIRS Club Member.
Marilyn spent the majority of her working Career at the Internal Revenue Service until she retired. After retirement she cared for her beloved Grandmother, Nannie Bell Norman until Nannie’s death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Dr. Ernest Jarman PhD Psychologist, (Cousins) Dorothy Todd, Karen Rhodes, Karlton (Judy) Rhodes, Brian (Gloria) Rhodes, Anita (Johnny) Wilkerson, Lisa (Ken) Anderson, Lauren Anderson, Yosef Ben Yisrael, Geoffrey Todd, Deone (Paulo) Dalessio, Kyle (Amina) Rhodes, Devan (Nick) Dixon, Brian Jr. (Kelly) Rhodes, Tiffani (Rashad) Jenkins, Gary Hilson, Diana Hilson, Eric Hilson, Stanley Hilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
