Marietta Merchant was born August 17, 1937 in Middletown, Ohio to William and Etta Bell Phelps Johnson. She was called from labor to reward on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Garden Manor Nursing Home at the age of 77.
She was reared and educated in Middletown, Ohio, graduating from Middletown High School in 1955. After high school, she began working for Middletown Regional Hospital. She left Middle- town and moved to Detroit, Michigan where she was employed by the Chrysler Motor Corpora- tion. She then moved back to Middletown, and ended her working career with Garden Manor Nursing Home.
She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Angela Windsor (Nachshon) of Philadelphia, Penn- sylvania; her mother, Etta Phelps; one brother, Leonard Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
